After the death of her father, Cinderella lives with her strict stepmother, who, unlike her stepsister Dorchen, makes her work as a maid. Still, she dreams of freedom and adventure. When her path one day leads her into the snowy forest, she meets the prince - a snowball, a laugh, a glance.

When the prince invites her to the ball, her stepmother forbids her from attending. Thanks to three magical hazelnuts, Cinderella manages to secretly attend the royal ball. There, the prince only has eyes for her - until the clock strikes midnight and she must flee in a hurry, leaving her shoe behind on the stairs. A moment that will change her fate forever.
